Organic materials have been manufactured or grown without harmful pesticides, which in turn keeps these toxins off of the ground and out of the water supply. This helps protect soil and water that is used to grow our food, plus it protects water that serves as a habitat for plants and animals. Products made from recycled materials not only keep a percentage of materials out of the landfills, but it also reduces the need for more materials and the resources required to generate new materials -- including petroleum products.
